sl1pg8r (pronounced slip gater), also known by his birth name Justin,[1] is a former member of the HermitCraft server. He initially joined the HermitCraft Feed the Beast server but in October 2013 all FTB members were allowed onto the main HermitCraft server.[3] sl1pg8r got his name from a level in Quake, called the Slip Gate Complex.[4]

HermitCraft[edit]
Slip's first build on the vanilla server is a massive structure called "The Ribbon," close to New Hermiton.[5] It is a massive spiral structure built primarily out of stone. It is not symmetrical but "geometric." Several platforms were built at locations where the slab staircase goes up a block too high.[6] The ground level of the structure is called the Pedestal, where most of his base activity is located. A rail system connects the bedrock level to the ground level and another connects the ground level to the sky limit where his portal is located.[7] The themed platforms include "The Hoof Hearted Horse Stables"[8] and "Booush Gardens."[9] At the town's commercial district, he set up a shop called "Slip's Packed Ice Shoppe" where he sells three stacks of packed ice for one diamond.[10]

Slip's current skin is a modified design of his skin contest winner, JohnnyBootz, on February 2014.[11]
