Mhykol, also known by his personal name Mike Magnuson, is an American livestreamer and a member of Mindcrack since April 2011, having been invited to join the Mindcrack Server after meeting Guude through The Spawn IRC.[2]

Biography[edit]
Mhykol works in IT at a high-tech security company.[3] He previously lived in Mitchell, South Dakota before moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota in May 2013.[4] Mhykol has a Swedish lineage from his father's side.[5]

Mhykol started Let's Plays when he noticed that there are people that like to watch other people play video games.[3] Mhykol credits Coestar as his inspiration for starting Let's Playing.[6] Mhykol runs a server for his fans to play on.[7]

Mhykol joined the Mindcrack Server in April 2011 for an episode of his "Mhykol Invades" series,[8] where he went over to other people's worlds for an episode. He played infrequently on the server during season 2.[9][10] Mhykol was contemplating resetting his single player world for Minecraft Beta 1.8, but instead became active on the server in September 2011, upon learning the server was resetting for Season 3.[11]
Personal life[edit]
Mhykol is 5'10" tall.[12] He regularly watches American Football,[13] his favorite team being the Minnesota Vikings.[14] Tacos are his favorite food.[15] Mhykol was married on 4 October 2013.[16]
Political views[edit]
Mhykol is a follower of Barack Obama, and supported him in his 2008 presidential campaign and 2012 reelection campaign. He tweeted support of Obama getting the Democratic Party's presumptive nomination in June 2008.[17][18] In February 2012, he said there was no Republican candidates "worth [his] vote".[19]
Minecraft skin[edit]
Mhykol's skin is a depiction of himself and was made by SatoriLove.[20] His shirt contains "The Spawn" logo, a gaming community website.[21] Although he did not attend MineCon 2013, Mhykol was given the attendee Cape from Sixelona.[22][23]
