For the chronological listing of the pranks would a format like this work? The list would be based off those from jayothan's post[1] Let me know what you think, I just guessed on the formatting of the table. -Atharsea June 19, 2012 4:24 GMT -7

2012[edit]

Date Description Perpetrator(s) and execution video(s) Victim(s) and reaction video(s)
May 23 Constructing a rainbow and Zombie Pigman faces in Pause's Nether rail tunnel

It's great. With the year removed, you can shrink the width of the date column. Instead of typing "not a perpetrator/victim", you can type "witness". I've added a "brief" flag and changed the "author" flag in the yt template for that (brief=witness). I just caught my mistake (like the double quotes), so if you find any mistakes I might have done along the way, you can correct them.--Admin 17:04, 19 June 2012 (CEST)

Thanks for changing that in the template, I'll start working on putting that page together. I'm going to remove "Pranks involving multiple players" from the list on the main page, because those pranks will apear in both the chronological list and on the page of each participant. I'm not quite sure how best to indicate which pranks take place in the current map, or where the playlist and references should be located. As a side note: the new help page looks really good! --Atharsea 12:58, 19 June 2012 (-7 GMT)

Hmm, do you think it's better to have the list in its own page or in the Prank wars page?--Admin 23:43, 19 June 2012 (CEST)
I hadn't thought about doing it that way, but it it might be a cleaner if it is at the end of the Prank wars page, especially with a content list at the top. Should the links to individual members prank pages remain above the chronological list for easy access, or at the bottom because it is such a long list?--Atharsea 20:13, 19 June 2012 (-7 GMT)
Let's try having the chronological list at the end of the Prank wars page.--Admin 06:58, 20 June 2012 (CEST)
I've moved the list to the bottom of the Prank wars page, and I think it makes that page more complete. If you agree can you delete the page I had created for the chronological list? I think that I might make the date column 80px again and put the year on each prank, because it looks a little odd having both the year and the world outside the prank tables.--Atharsea 13:37, 20 June 2012 (-7 GMT)
That's great. I'm currently looking for ways to simplify the process of adding and updating the list of pranks. The setup we have right now requires at least three pages to be updated (prank wars, victim, perpetrator). I have been testing with Semantic MediaWiki but it doesn't seem to satisfy with the setup we have. There should be a way to only update one page and have all other pages be updated automatically. If you have any suggestions, I would like to see them.--Admin 22:32, 20 June 2012 (CEST)
A more efficient way to update pranks would be really helpful. I haven't done a lot of work with coding yet but it seems like it could be done with an inline query from Semantic MediaWiki if you could get it to pull rows of data from the chronological list, rather than just pages in general. I also think its something that could be done with MySQL, but I don't know if thats something that this wiki can support or that would be easy to edit.--Atharsea 15:37, 20 June 2012 (-7 GMT)

Feed the Beast Prank Wars[edit]

The FTB server has its own prank wars, but we have no coverage. Should we create a seperate page for those pranks, or merge it in here? 75.89.16.248 20:10, 7 April 2013 (CEST)

You can edit Prank wars/Feed the Beast. Individual member pranks can be in the <Member>/pranks page.--Admin 23:35, 7 April 2013 (CEST)

Missing prank?[edit]

How about the first ~2 minutes of this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9fWUqj5EXo // 89.132.126.128 02:35, 25 January 2014 (CET)

Yes, it should be in the list. I tend to wait to add a prank until the perpetrator or victim have posted a video, so I get more of the backstory. I don't recall seeing one from Etho and am behind on Bdubs videos so I'd forgotten about it. Do you know of any other videos of this prank, or is Seths the only one that shows it? --Atharsea (talk) 06:05, 25 January 2014 (CET)
It's in here for Bdubs: http://youtu.be/smTg-SR94Og?t=1m10s // 89.132.126.128 12:24, 25 January 2014 (CET)
Thanks, I added it to the prank wars list. --Atharsea (talk) 02:30, 26 January 2014 (CET)
