So... Avidya or AvidyaZEN?[edit]

Now that Avidya has started using his alternate account (AvidyaZEN) as his main one, should we change the name of his page? (Same for Pyrao / Pyro_0) =/ --Mega (talk) 02:31, 8 June 2013 (CEST)

Because it would be impractical to change everything associated with their name (avatar, skins, databases, build and prank pages, etc.), my preference would be to leave their page name the one that they joined with, mention that they are using their alternate account, and have their alt account as a redirect page instead of renaming. Oh yeah, forgot about the whole... everything else... also, I keep forgetting to sign these things! D:< --Mega (talk) 02:31, 8 June 2013 (CEST)
Wait, what about nerdybree & breeplaygames? Or Jfrancisanimator & DireDwarf? Or zaetras & HorrorBiscuit? Or, most recently, lembley3 & TheBigLembowski? They all changed accounts and were whitelisted on their first one, yet we changed them. =/ --Mega (talk) 03:05, 8 June 2013 (CEST)
I think those were permanent changes - I know HorrorBiscuit never intented zaetras to be a multiplayer account, and switched it as soon as he was able. Pyrao has been Pyro_0 so long that it might make sense to try to change his, especially since I don't know if he will ever get Pyrao back. Do you know if Avidya has permanently changed to playing just as AvidyaZEN? --Atharsea (talk) 03:33, 8 June 2013 (CEST)
He said in his video that he wanted it to match all of his other stuff (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) so probably... --Mega (talk) 03:50, 8 June 2013 (CEST)
Pyrao's and Avidya's pages can be moved to their new name.--Admin 22:35, 9 June 2013 (CEST)
Just a note, the "Featuring" column should use the name as shown in the game. For example, HorrorBiscuit appeared as zaetras in Riader's video, so the old name is kept.--Admin 07:43, 10 June 2013 (CEST)
I've always seen the featuring column to refer to the person, not the name of the character, and that has been true for any video Pyro_0 has appeared - they all identified him as Pyrao. Also, if at some point we need a list of all the videos that Avidya has appeared in it becomes more difficult to search for multiple different names. --Atharsea (talk) 07:51, 10 June 2013 (CEST)
I see it as keeping track of account appearances. Easycgi should be included in the column, too. It shouldn't be too difficult to search more than one name under one person. SMW can do all that work.--Admin 08:20, 10 June 2013 (CEST)
Does that mean that viewpoints should also be based on accounts, rather than recorders?! I can change Guudes list back to Avidya if you want, but there's other times different accounts were used that haven't been noted. --Atharsea (talk) 03:42, 11 June 2013 (CEST)
Just the "Featuring" column is different. Everything else on the website will use the current account name. I created that column to track the account rather than the person. If you think it is advantageous to only use the current account name, then you don't need to change it. What to do about alternative accounts that make an appearance like Easycgi?--Admin 03:56, 11 June 2013 (CEST)

I didn't know that the point of that column was to track specific accounts. I'm fine with easycgi appearing in that column, particularly since he is (at least currently) used as a cameraman, not a Guude alternate. Since it is still Avidya behind the account I see Avidya/AvidyaZEN as potato/patato. I spose if at some point we wanted to indicate when the name change took place it would be helpful to have a record, it just wouldn't be accurate across the membership. --Atharsea (talk) 06:31, 11 June 2013 (CEST)
