Docm77's witch hut
Docm77's witch hut is a witch hut located on the Season 4 map. Docm77 initially made the hut a living space,[1] but has since built a house nearby[2] and turned the witch hut into a witch farm. Using a glitch to see through blocks, Doc started working on the witch farm by lighting up caves in the surrounding area.[3] After breaking 10,000 likes on his 23rd episode,[4] Doc started digging his perimeter during an eight hour live stream on 8 September 2013.[5] He was joined by generikb, AnderZEL and BdoubleO100.[6]
On 28 September 2013, despite the perimeter being unfinished, Doc started to build the farm. He built a roof to keep spawning spaces dark and completed the lower shifting floor.[7] He used JL2579's tutorial.[8] In the following episode, Doc showed the completed upper shifting floor[9] and built the item collection area.[10] The witch drops are sorted into chests using an item sorting design,[11] which is also by JL2579. Sticks can also be diverted to furnaces for use as a renewable fuel.[12]
The perimeter was finished on 20 October 2013 after AvidyaZEN, Docm77, SethBling, Dinnerbone and Notch had been digging during the MindCrack Marathon. Notch mined the final block of the perimeter using a silk touch pickaxe.[13][14] To flood the perimeter, Doc built a Rube Goldberg machine using viewer suggestions.[15] With the help of AnderZEL, Pyro_0 and W92Baj, the machine was activated, flooding the perimeter on 10 January 2014.[16]
