JSano19, also known simply as JSano (pronounced "dʒeɪ'sɑ:noʊ"),[1] or his personal name Jeffery Michael "Jeff" Sano,[2][3] is an American Let's Play commentator and a member of Mindcrack since January 2011, having being invited to join the Mindcrack Server by Guude. His former Minecraft username was jsano19.

Biography[edit]
JSano grew up in Flint, Michigan,[4] and currently lives in Washington, DC. He is a professional nurse, volunteer fire fighter in Montgomery County, Maryland, volunteer ski patroller in Michigan, and an EMT.[5][3] He is of Italian descent.[6]
Previously an engineer, JSano has a BS in computer engineering and an MS in information technology, both from Kettering University in Michigan. He moved to Washington, DC to pursue a career as a nurse, where he earned a BS in nursing from Georgetown University, and later an MS from Walden University in Minnesota, also in nursing.[3] On 14 December 2018 he announced he had earned a DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.[7]
JSano has mentioned previously worked at McDonald's on and off for many years,[8] as well as the CIA as an undergraduate co-op student.[9]

Guude discovered JSano's singleplayer Minecraft series through the Let's Play directory on the Minecraft Forums in late-2010.[10] He first mentioned JSano on 4 December 2010, promoting his YouTube channel and mentioning how frequently he dies in game.[11]
JSano had a plot in the Season 3 spawn village in which he built a firehouse. There was an ambulance and a fire engine inside the station, both of which were unfinished. The interior also had lockers and a fireman's pole. Next to the firehouse was a red sheep farm.
JSano often refurbished villages he encountered, his main one being in a desert next to an Extreme Hills biome. He was also working on a village in the Nether, inspired by two castaway villagers who went through his portal and got themselves trapped,[12] before the map reset.
After the map reset, JSano's main project was a hospital, relatively close to Spawn.
In Season 5, his main project is a ski hill, north-east of spawn town, between Beef's spawn house, thejims' wizard tower, and BTC's Pillars of Nosgoth project. He is also working on a beach hut on a small island further east, close to BTC's and Nebris' guardian farm.

Relationships and family[edit]
On 1 May 2016, JSano proposed to his girlfriend Julia while livestreaming to Twitch.[13] On 17 November 2016, JSano mentioned he was going to become a father.[14] On 28 February 2017, they had their first child, a son.[15] In a video released on 26 November 2018, JSano said he was going to have another child relatively shortly after Christmas,[16] and their second child Jamie was born on 31 January 2019.[17]

Survivor[edit]
An avid fan of the reality television show Survivor, JSano has shared his dream of being a contestant on the show. Alongside Guude and mcgamer, JSano was previously the host of a weekly Survivor podcast which evaluated Survivor: San Juan del Sur (season 29) and Survivor: Worlds Apart (season 30) as they aired. In August 2015, JSano announced his plan to involve his viewers in what would be his third time applying for the show. Sharing his skepticism of the video application method,[a] JSano created a public campaign using the hashtag #JSanoForSurvivor.[18] JSano shared his audition video to YouTube for his fans to view on 25 December. The video highlights JSano's professional and volunteer work, his diverse social skills, and the audacity and shamelessness he shows in his YouTube career.[3] On 2 January 2016, a tweet by a fan of JSano's prompted a response from Survivor's host and executive producer Jeff Probst. Probst stated "Jeff, I think it's going to be storytelling that holds [you] back. [You] have to "grab" [the] audience",[19] to which JSano replied, "I will work on ensuring my story truly will grab them!"[20] Jeff was the sole host of a weekly recap of Survivor: Kaôh Rōng (season 32), which he recorded while playing on the Mindcrack Server.[21]

JSano's skin is custom-made by devonsama titled "FireFighter" for JSano's skin contest. The top three winners of the contest were allowed to join the MindCrack Fan Server: devonsama, HiBoy, and ZaneyGamer.[22]

Trivia[edit]
- JSano's first name, Jeffery, was given to him by his mother when she forgot how the name "Jeffrey" is normally spelled.[2]
- JSano has been to Iceland.[23]
- JSano has shared his annoyance with Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk that refused to issues marriage licenses to same-sex couples.[24]
