Sevadus, also known by his personal name Matthew "Matt" Zagursky, is an American Let's Play commentator, livestreamer, an active member of Mindcrack, and the CEO and founder of N3RDFUSION. Sev initially joined the CrackPack server as a guest in May 2014, later joining the vanilla server in July 2014.[2] His former Minecraft username was sevadus.

Biography[edit]
Sevadus graduated with his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in 2009, and received his master's degree from the University of Hawaii in 2012. The title of his thesis topic is "Recovering the Structure and Cosmic Flow of the Local Universe via Peculiar Velocities". He is currently working on his PhD there. [3] He shows a great interest in Astrophysics.[4]
During his time at Maryland, Sevadus was a contributing author to a paper titled "Kinematic and Photometric Evidence for a Bar in NGC 2683". In the paper, Sevadus and his co-authors presented evidence that the galaxy NGC 2683 is actually a barred spiral galaxy, something that is not easily discerned visibly.[5] Their work is cited in the galaxy's Wikipedia article.[6]
In June 2015, Sev moved to Seattle, Washington.[7][8]

Let's Play[edit]
Sevadus streams daily from 10am ET for 4 to 6 hours.[10] He began uploading videos to his YouTube channel in February 2013.[11]

Sevadus had been a friend of PauseUnpause's since late-2011.[12] Sev met Guude at PAX East 2013.[13] Sev later attended PAX East 2013, PAX Prime 2013, the MindCrack Party at MineCon 2013, and PAX East 2014 with the Mindcrackers. At PAX East 2014, Sev stayed in the "CrackHouse" with the Mindcrackers and was part of episode 69 of the Mindcrack Podcast that was recorded live in Boston.[14] It was here that Sevadus became familiar with the group as a whole.[15] Sevadus joined the CrackPack server as a guest in May 2014, and also appeared as a guest in Ultra Hardcore Season 17. Sevadus joined the vanilla Mindcrack server in July 2014, two weeks before the start of Season 5. He did not release any videos from the Season 4 map.[16]
Minecraft skin[edit]
Sevadus' skin was made in a skin competition held in August 2013.[17] Sevadus received a Cape for attending MineCon 2013.[18]
Trivia[edit]
- Sevadus played trumpet in high school, not because he was good at it, but because he had a crush on the first chair trumpeter.[19]
- Sevadus was previously a college professor, he allegedly always checked his students' emails.[citation needed]
- Sevadus enjoys hiking.[4]
- Despite living in Hawaii, Sevadus tends to avoid the ocean as he has a fear of sharks.[4]
- Sevadus had previously lived in Texas.[citation needed]
- Sevadus tweeted support of the Supreme Court's ruling to legalize same-sex marriage in all 50 states of the US.[20] He added "Feeling finally accepted by your country is a hell of a thing. Literally tears."[21]
