The goal of the wiki is to create a comprehensive and well-referenced documentation of the Mindcrack community and its history. If you have the time and are willing to contribute, please do. You really don't need to learn all there is to edit a wiki; simple texts or links are acceptable as long as there is content. Active editors will help format them correctly. If you are more comfortable with reddit and really don't understand how wikis work, please post suggestions on r/mindcrack and someone might transfer the information here.
For members past and present, the wiki details biographical (ethnic and cultural background, locations resided, education, employment) and personal information (health and well-being, relationships and family, hobbies/interests, social and political opinions) if willingly shared, how they joined Mindcrack, their involvement on the vanilla Mindcrack Server and its modded counterparts (Feed the Beast and CrackPack), their content creation on YouTube and/or Twitch (along with any other video sharing sites if applicable), and their involvement in group collaborations. For examples of well written sections see;
- OMGchad or PauseUnpause for biography and personal life segments
- Coestar, PauseUnpause, or SethBling for how they joined Mindcrack
- Coestar (although brief), or PauseUnpause for their activities on the vanilla server
Every member should have a complete list of the videos they have released from the vanilla and modded servers, accompanied by a brief summary of events for each video. Many of the video lists on the wiki are out of date. See Guude/videos or PauseUnpause/videos for an example of how this page should be structured for vanilla videos, and VintageBeef/modded for modded videos.
Events such as TerrafirmaCrack, White Cannon Tournament, April Fools, and Christmas are outdated. The list of Mindcrack Podcasts is also incomplete, along with the list of server pranks and FTB pranks. For regular collaborations (either teams or large group events), pages should list all videos released in that series, with a summary of events. Many video lists of collaborations on the wiki are incomplete. Despite being outdated, see Team GOB for a well structured example of team page. Teams such as Team UK, Team OMGuude, The Show, Team NoBeef, and Team F1 are completely missing. Longrunning group series (such as Chivalry, Garry's Mod, Mario Kart 8, SpeedRunners, Space Engineers, 7 Days to Die) should list all episodes from the series. Video games played by multiple Mindcrack members (often in collaboration with each other) should have a page too, for example Terraria, Cube World, The Forest, Don't Starve, and Grand Theft Auto V.
Builds on the server may be allocated their own page if deemed notable or extensive enough. They are to be placed in the relevant category; [[Category:Season # structures]]. See BlingMart for an example of a short and acceptable page. Significant builds such as Cousin Genny's Mobile Home, VintageBeef's jungle village, Town hall, the Lily pad, Doc Shop, and Lake ZEL are brief and incomplete in their descriptions. Builds such as VintageBeef's castle, Docm77's tree house, Arkasdam, the UHC Monument, and BlingTower are missing entirely. Structures should have links to their coordinates on the Overviewer map, see pages utilizing the {{overviewer}} template for examples. Please use in-game coordinates, especially if the y coordinate is distant from the Overviewer's default height of 64.
Any UHC guest or regular collaborator may be given their own page. See acparvis, brentcopeland, or Bacon_Donut for how to structure these pages. Keep them brief, while also linking their relevance to the Mindcrack community. Pages such as these are to be put in the following category; [[Category:People]].
Major topics, such as Guude's Golden Record, guudelp.com, MindcrackLP.com, CrackCam, Live UHC, Lords of Minecraft, Buffalo Wizards, Mindcrack's influence on Minecraft and Charity of Mindcrack are missing entirely. Please do not simply create a page with a single sentence on it.
